I brought in my father's old Seiko — the crown had been stiff for years and winding was a chore. The assessment explained clearly what was wrong and the cost was reasonable. Got it back in eight days, and it winds easily now. The written update mid-way was appreciated.

The case polishing brought my watch back to how it looked a few years ago. I asked for a conservative finish — not too shiny — and that is exactly what I received. They confirmed the finish approach before starting, which I hadn't expected. Would have been five stars but pickup took slightly longer than quoted.

Sent in my grandfather's Hamilton for a full restoration. The job took six weeks, and I received three updates during that time — including a message when an unusual part needed sourcing with two options presented. The watch came back running well, and the case looks careful rather than over-polished. Good work.

I was hesitant at first — I'd never used a local workshop for watch work before. But the intake process was straightforward, the assessment arrived within two days, and the cost was within my budget. The watch was returned with a short note explaining what had been done. That kind of clarity is rare.

Brought in a watch that had been sitting in a drawer for a decade. Was expecting to be told it was too old to bother with. Instead I received a thorough assessment with two options at different price points. Chose the more comprehensive overhaul and the watch is now running daily. Solid workshop.

The bracelet on my everyday watch had grown quite dull. Three days after drop-off it was ready — the polishing is even and consistent across the links. A small thing perhaps, but it makes the watch feel worth wearing again. Would not hesitate to return.

1960s Mechanical Watch — Full Restoration

Complete Restoration · 7 weeks

Challenge

A 1960s dress watch that had not run in over fifteen years. The owner had inherited it and knew little about its history. Movement was seized, crown would not turn, and the case had significant surface wear throughout.

What Was Done

Full movement disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning. Three worn components identified — two were sourced as NOS, one as a quality aftermarket replacement. Options were discussed with the owner before ordering. Case refinished to a light satin finish as requested.

Outcome

Watch returned running at +4 seconds per day — within acceptable range for its calibre. Owner was updated at intake, after part sourcing, and on completion. Total turnaround: 7 weeks. Now worn daily.

"I genuinely did not think it would run again. Getting updates at each stage made the wait much easier."

Daily Wearer — Spring & Case Work

Spring Repair + Polish · 9 working days

Challenge

A contemporary automatic worn daily for seven years. Winding had become noticeably stiffer over the preceding months and the case had accumulated the usual marks from regular use. Owner wanted it in better working order without over-polishing.

What Was Done

Mainspring assessment confirmed partial fatigue — replacement recommended and approved. Stem and crown also showed wear and were replaced simultaneously. Case received a conservative polish with brushed finishing maintained on the original brushed surfaces.

Outcome

Winding returned to smooth operation. Case presentation improved while retaining the character of a worn piece. Completed in nine working days within the quoted price.

"The finish is exactly what I asked for. No complaints — will be back when it next needs attention."
